We Love Giving Back to Our Community!

At Collins Law, LLC, we believe in caring for others in their time of need. In our day-to-day practice, that looks like helping victims of car accidents, truck accidents, slip-and-falls, and other forms of personal injury. But that’s not the only way we give back to our community. We believe that community is about helping your neighbors whenever they need it, and we are proud of the efforts we’ve made to give back and help those who are struggling.

Girls' Night for United Way

We hosted a Girls’ Night event in our office to raise money for United Way of Central Alabama. In addition to a night of community and fellowship, we collected menstrual products to help combat period poverty — a term that refers to the lack of access to menstrual products, sexual and reproductive health education, and safe, clean facilities.

Every year, the United Way of Central Alabama runs a drive to collect items that go to families in need. Our goal was to collect 4,000 items, and we ended up collecting over 10,000. We are absolutely blown away by the community’s support.

Earlier this year we were invited to donate $4,000 to United Way of Central Alabama. However, to make this gift more personal, we divided the donation into $500 per team member and asked each person to choose which agency they’d like their portion to support. Altogether, our team donated $4,000 back to:

  • Legacy YMCA
  • Concerned Citizens for Our Youth
  • American Heart Association
  • Childcare Resources
  • Arc of Central Alabama
  • Girls Inc. of Central Alabama
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Alabama
  • AG Gaston Boys and Girls Club

Volunteer Day at Community Food Bank of Central Alabama

Our team volunteered at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama in Birmingham, which serves as a central hub for providing food to those in need across 12 counties in Central Alabama. We believe in actively supporting organizations that strengthen and uplift the communities we serve. Our commitment to service is ongoing, and with the Food Bank we were able to sort and organize a large volume of donated food items.
